Guwahati, Nov 26: Kaziranga National Park, famed for its one-horned rhinos and breathtaking landscapes is all set to present an unforgettable blend of culture, business, and nature at the 12th International Tourism Mart (ITM) from today till November 29.
This flagship event, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, puts the spotlight on the Northeast’s unmatched tourism potential. Entrepreneurs, government agencies, and influencers will converge at this vibrant platform representing the eight northeastern states—Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim—to forge connections and explore opportunities.
Set against the backdrop of Kaziranga’s lush wilderness, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrating 50 years as a national park, attendees will get an immersive experience of the region’s rich biodiversity and cultural treasures.
With 400 participants, including international and domestic tour operators, hoteliers, and homestay owners, the ITM promises dynamic B2B meetings, captivating state presentations, and lively cultural evenings. Guests can also savor the region’s unique flavors through interactive food demonstrations.
This year’s ITM shines a light on sustainability, adopting eco-friendly practices like minimizing single-use plastics and embracing energy efficiency, ensuring the event leaves only footprints and takes away memories.
