Nongpoh, July 22: Acting on a tip off, the authority of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) through the Enforcement Department on Thursday held surprise inspection on trading license in Pillangkata and Byrnihat areas, and found over hundred business establishments running without any valid documents from the authority concerned.

The inspection was led by the KHADC Enforcement Department Inspector, F. Kharsyntiew along with B. Riahtam, Asst. Superintendent, and accompanied by the representatives of the Dorbar Shnong Pilangkata A and B and the police personnel from Pilangkata Police Outpost.

The Enforcement department of KHADC has issued show cause notices to all the business establishments without proper documents to produce their valid documents within 15 days, failing with they will be served closure notice within within 30 days.
