Shillong, Nov 23: The vibrant and culturally rich celebration of ‘Seng Kut Snem’ was held with fervour and devotion as the Khasi community gathered to commemorate the 124th foundation day of this significant event at Madan Weiking, Jaiaw on Thursday.

The festival is a tribute to the relentless efforts of the Seng Khasi Movement in safeguarding the indigenous Khasi faith and traditions.

The day unfolded with a colourful procession that commenced from Madan Iewranghep, proceeding towards Madan Weiking. Participants engaged in various rituals and practices inherent to the Seng Khasi culture, marking the significance of the occasion.

Seng Kut Snem stands as a testament to the commitment of the Seng Khasi Kmie in preserving and protecting the unique ethos and traditions that form an integral part of the indigenous Khasi heritage.
