Ampati, Sept 1: Krimkro FC won the 4th Women Football Tournament 2024 on Saturday in an exciting final match against Sister United.

The district level tournament of South West Garo Hills, organized by the District Sports Office, concluded with great fanfare at the Students’ Field in Ampati. The tournament saw the participation of 8 teams from across the district, showcasing the growing enthusiasm for women’s football in the region.

The final match saw Krimkro FC claim the championship title with a commanding 4-0 victory over Sister United. Khasmi M Marak of Krimkro FC was recognized as the Best Player of the tournament, while Bonkam Sangma earned the Highest Scorer award.

Sister United’s Simchira M Sangma was honoured with the Best Goalkeeper title for her exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the District Sports Officer of South West Garo Hills congratulated the participating teams and presented the awards.
