Tura, Oct 4: Incessant rain and wintery weather of Garo Hills was no match for the concert-goer to witness one of the biggest festivals at Baljek on Thursday.
Day 1 of the event, LIVE@GARO HILLS 2.0, delivered an eclectic mix of music, food, craft and overall a feel good time despite the inclement weather.
Artists line-up on first day saw Colossal Corp, Abstract Phenomenon, Saldorik S Dio and Shankuraj Konwar performing some great foot-tapping numbers.
The concert also saw fans coming in from Assam, specially to witness Shankuraj Konwar perform his soulful musical gems and also relish on the cuisine, local brew and display of the finest handicrafts that Garo Hills has to offer.
Organised by Ivory Valley and VAS Incorporated, the event did not compromise on the security and the organisers also made sure that no traffic congestion occurred.
Highlight of the event was when Shankuraj Konwar brought in a surprise guest artist during his set. Chorun Mugli, an independent singer/songwriter hailing all the way from Arunachal Pradesh, performed one of his hit songs ‘Abo Emru Dagena’ alongside Konwar.
Mugli’s soulful cadence and captivating musicality grasped the attention of the audience and made them groove to the beat. The duet of Konwar and Mugli was a testament of music transcending all language barriers.
Day 2 of the spectacle promises even more off the wall line-up, as Bombay Basement, T.R.A.P and many others will take the centre stage to bring you the best of experience.
