Tura, April 18: Villagers of Balalgre, under Damalgre police station found an unidentified male dead body lying in a jungle area on Tuesday and alerted police.
The deceased had come from somewhere else and halted at the place probably to take rest.

Police found by his side two bottles of liver tonic medicine, one blanket, gamcha, sandal, eatery like rice flakes and also one outpatient ticket of Tura civil hospital.

The victim is suspected to be a patient and according to the medical certificate his name is Prodip Sangma (35 years ).

He visited the hospital emergency department on April 13th with fever, pain in the abdomen and discoloration of skin. He was advised hospitalization and a series of medical tests but the report mentions that he declined to get admitted on the grounds there was no one to attend to him.

While the actual cause of death is not known, the The body was found to be decomposing rapidly and a post mortem is being initiated to find out the cause of death.
