Tura, May 14: The second phase of the Tura Football League Super Division kick-off on Tuesday with Maram FC facing off against Druma Sandruma at the Chandmari Football Turf in Tura for the league’s 17th match.
Maram FC gradually ascended to the second spot in the points table after a 4-1 victory over the struggling side Druma Sandruma.
The match began with high energy and zeal, with both teams maintaining steady ball possession but launching few attacks. However, Sengran M Sangma of Maram FC opened the scoring with a goal in the 30th minute, giving his team a 1-0 lead by halftime. Isak Panto and Dipen Daimary received yellow cards in the 33rd and 41st minutes, respectively.
In the second half, Maram FC continued to extend their lead when Bikalsing Marak found the net in the 60th minute. However, Druma Sandruma quickly countered with their first goal of the match by Winter Marak in the 62nd minute.
Maram FC maintained dominance as Togam Marak scored his first goal of the match in the 66th minute, followed by Bikalsing scoring his second and the team’s final goal in the 80th minute. The final whistle blew, and Maram FC emerged victorious with a 4-1 win, securing the second spot in the table with 10 points. Druma Sandruma remained static with their solitary goal throughout the match.
