Mark Laitflang bags Asian Youth Empowerment Leader Award

Shillong, Oct 16: From selling flowers at a very young age to becoming the founder of North East India’s leading facilitator, Mark Laitflang Stone’s entire journey echoes inspiration and spur. An award winning entrepreneur once again is being recognised by Asia one magazine’s for his pioneering efforts.Mark will be awarded and felicitated with the inaugural edition of the Asia One Asian Youth Empowerment Leader Award for 2020-21 on October 26,  2021 in Dubai, Saudi Arabia.

The extraordinary journey & achievements of Mark Laitflang

Mark Laitflang Stone, Founder & MD of Avenues, is from Meghalaya and he started Avenues in 2003 when he was just 20  years old for Personal Development and Soft Skills Intervention for tribal youth. From wining the first-ever NorthEast Young Heroes Awards 2020 in Education to unlocking the potential of the youth in the Northeast, Mark has inspired people across the country with his achievements and as well as his struggles.

Often referred to as the original start-up man of the Northeast, Mark’s journey has emerged over almost two decades of crafting successful ventures in the services sector. Today, his coaching workshops hold audiences in India, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

Mark has also served as a Founding Curator for the Global Shapers community at the World Economic Forum as well as the Founding State Co-Chair (2015-16) for CII’s Young Indians’ Meghalaya Chapter. He has co-chaired the Adult Literacy vertical of CII’s India@75 National Council (2018-19).

Mark believes and understands the realities and challenges that each of us face while trying to get ahead in life. A self confessed dream chaser, Mark’s ability to bring people together has lead to human connection.
