Masked men rob Rs 3.6 lakh using fake guns from petrol pump in Smit

Shillong, July 27: A group of four masked miscreants robbed Rs 3.60 lakh from a petrol pump at Smit village by using ‘fake’ firearms.

The incident took place at 9.47 pm on Tuesday night when four masked miscreants wearing commando camouflage uniform forcefully entered the Pyngrope Service Station at Urmasi in Smit village, sources said.

Using fake firearms, the miscreants took away Rs 3.60 lakh from the petrol pump, they said.

Meanwhile, East Khasi Hills SP Sylvester Nongtnger said that the police are on job to nab the culprits behind the robbery case.
