Tura, Oct 16: A massive fire broke out at Tura Bazar this morning damaging several shops.
The incident occurred around 2 am. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
At least 17 shops were damaged in the incident, which comprises of fast food joint, pharmacy, shoe store etc., including nearby makeshift shops between GHADC market complex and Tura Super Market.
No casualty reported.
The extent of damages are being assessed.
The vehicular movement is allowed in the stretch now, but parking of vehicle has been restricted.
The fire has been completely doused.
A total of 5 fire trucks were used and made rounds whole night to completely subdue the fire. Fire trucks were also brought in from the Rongram fire department.
