Shillong, Sep 10: Mawphlang sitting MLA and the Associated Member of the United Democratic Alliance Party (UDP), Santar Klas Sunn passed away on Friday at his residence in Mawngap.
SK Sunn, an engineer by profession, entered politics and contested as an Independent Candidate in the MLA elections in 2018, and won by a huge margin against Congress candidate Kennedy C Khyriem. Sunn later associate himself with the UDP.
Sunn was not just an engineer and a politician but also a popular figure amongst the football lovers of the State.
He is the fourth sitting legislator to have died since 2018 in Meghalaya.
