Shillong, Jan 19: Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Tuesday said that Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBOSE) will conduct the SSLC and HSSLC board examination only after 14th April.
“MBOSE will fix the date but it will happen only after the 14th April,” Rymbui said adding, “MBOSE will soon come up with the routine for the class 10 and class 12 board exam.”
The Education department is holding discussion to finalise the date for holding the Secondary School Leaving certificate and Higher Secondary School leaving certificate examination. “The notification will be issued after due diligence”, he added.
Clarifying on the SSLC routine being circulated in Social media, the Education Minister termed it as ‘fake’.
Earlier a notification made rounds on the social media which mentioned that the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination, 2021 will begin on April 6 and will end on April 19.
Amidst the rising concern about the health protocol that will be ensured during the examination, he said, “I don’t think there will be any issue but we should take care of ourselves. We will do take necessary measures considering the prevailing situation”, he said.
He also informed that the examination will be in offline mode.
Asked about the academic session of the remaining classes, the Education Minister said that the session will end in February.
“The session will continue till the month of February, so before that something will be planned as I said, we have to take one step at a time,” Rymbui said.
“Education and health of the student are paramount,” the Minister added.
