Chennai, Oct 30: Meghalaya football team has been crowned champions of the first National Blind Football Tournament, beating Kerala 1-0 in an exciting match in Chennai on Saturday.
Klingson Marak scored the winning goal. Meghalaya team conceded zero goals throughout the tournament.
Meghalaya defeated West Bengal by 2-0 to reach the Final. The two goals came from Klingson Marak and Gabriel Nongrum.
Tamil Nadu Blind Football Association partnering with the Indian Blind Football Association hosted the national level championship for both men and women from October 26-30, 2021 with 16 men’s teams and 6 women’s teams taking part.
