Shillong, April 30: The stage is set for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Supplementary Examination 2025 in Meghalaya, with 7,085 out of 8,918 eligible students registering for the exams scheduled from May 1 to May 8.
The examinations will be held across 76 centres statewide—49 in the Khasi & Jaintia region and 27 in the Garo Hills region.
According to data released by the Education Department, the registration rate stands at 79.44%, reflecting the determination of many students to secure a pass and continue their academic journey. Of those registered, 2,235 students hail from the Khasi Hills region, while 4,850 are from the Garo Hills region.

The SSLC Supplementary Examination serves as a vital second chance for students who did not clear the regular SSLC exams held earlier this year. In those results, announced by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), around 51,560 students appeared, with approximately 41,275 passing—resulting in a pass percentage of about 80%. This left 8,918 students eligible for the supplementary round.
The Board has assured that results will be declared within May itself, enabling successful candidates to enroll in higher secondary institutions without delay.
Commissioner and Secretary of the Education Department, Vijay Kumar Mantri, offered his encouragement to the candidates, stating:
“The Education Department wishes all the best to all the students appearing for the SSLC Supplementary Examination, 2025.”
