Shillong, March 7: The state government has constituted a working group committee to examine the proposed amendment of the Constitution (Schedule Tribe) Order, 1950.
This was informed by the Minister in-charge Social Welfare in his reply tabled in the Assembly on Friday.
“The government has constituted the working group committee to examine and make suitable recommendations on the list of Scheduled Tribes in Meghalaya for Amendment of Part – XI of the Schedule of the Presidential Order 1950 (pertaining to the state of Meghalaya,” Lyngdoh said.
