Shillong, May 27: The Meghalaya government on Thursday officially announced its decision to recognize media persons as frontline workers.

Making the announcement after a review meeting here on Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “I want to place on record that the state government has decided to recognize media persons as frontline workers of the state.”

He said, “We are thankful to all media persons and we are so proud of you (for your contribution).”
