Shillong, March 22: I&PR Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh on Wednesday informed the House that Rs 29.44 lakh was spent on newspaper & outdoor hoarding in the last quarter of financial year 2022-23.

Replying during the question hour, Lyngdoh said that the fund was spent from the planning department.

She, however, said there was no specific budgeted under publicity spending and no diversion of funds or fund overdrawn from some other head of accounts.

The minister said that the payment of Rs 29.44 lakh was made directly to YouTube (Google ad account 618-234-8095).
