Meghalaya Guv to personally pursue the mysterious deaths of Rosy Sangma and Samuel Sangma

Shillong, July 4: Meghalaya Governor, Satya Pal Malik has decided to personally pursue the case of deaths of Late Rosy Sangma and Late Samuel Sangma, two young Garos from Dimapur, Nagaland under suspicious circumstances in Gurugram. At the same time, he has also written to Union Home Minister, Amit Shah for his intervention into the mysterious deaths of the two youth which has sparked outrage in the whole north eastern region.

A press note from the Raj Bawan on Sunday said the Governor is scheduled to travel to New Delhi on Sunday, and he has assured to take up the matter with the concerned authorities for a free, fair and expeditious investigation into the matter and to ensure justice for the two deceased.

The statement added that the Governor has taken cognizance of media reports and outrage over the unnatural deaths of both the individuals of North East and has took note of the petition addressed to him on the matter.

The death of Rosy Sangma and Samuel Sangma, two Garos from Nagaland’s Dimapur, under mysterious circumstances has led to resentment in the north eastern region. Rosy Sangma died in the ALFAA Hospital, Gurugram, Haryana on June 24, 2021 after consuming ice-cream given to her by hospital staff while she was in ICU. A viral video posted by Late Samuel Sangma had claimed that his aunt Late Rosy was recovering and suddenly died after eating the ice cream.

Reportedly, the hospital staff assaulted Samuel when he confronted them for giving ice-cream to his aunt in the ICU, and not allowing him to see her thereafter. Following which he was found hanging from ceiling of the hotel he was staying at Safdarjung Enclave next day i.e. on June 25, 2021.
