Shillong, June 9: Rainfall in Shillong in Meghalaya on Friday morning has submerged several places across the city, causing inconvenience to commuters.
Several parts of the city like Pynthorbah, Pynthorumkhrah, Langkyrding and Nongmynsong are worst flood affected ares.
Also, movements of vehicles, and people in these areas of Shillong were disrupted due to floods and water logging.
To make sure that the roads are clear from flood waters and vehiculars movements are not affected measures were taken by the Shillong municipal board.

However, several parts of Shillong city in Meghalaya faced inconvinece due to poor drainage system.
Every year after heavy rainfall, people residing in areas of Pynthorbah, Pynthorumkhrah, Langkyrding and Nongmynsong go through flood like situation and water logging.
Meanwhile, heavy rain is expected to last several parts of North Eastern states for five days.
