Shillong, June 24: Minister in-charge Public Health Engineering (PHE), Marcuise N Marak, has decided to visit the 12 districts of the state for reviewing the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
“Since the model code of conduct (MCC) has just been lifted, I will be reviewing (the JJM implementation in the state). I will be touring throughout the state and make sure whatever complaints are being attended to,” Marak told reporters.

Stating that JJM is an ongoing project, the minister said there will definitely be some issues and concerns. “So whatever complaints are there, we are trying to attend and we will try to rectify,” he added.
According to the minister, 80 percent of work has been completed and over 5.14 households are connected with functional water taps under the JJM in Meghalaya.
