Shillong, Nov 10: The Junior Girls Selection Committee of the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has selected 15 players with standbys to represent the state in the BCCI’s U-15 Women’s One Day Trophy, which will be held in Odisha from November 21 to 29.
The process to get to this stage has been a long one, with the girls undergoing a TW-3 bone test for age verification, as per BCCI norms, and then three days of selection trials at Nongkhrah, Ri-Bhoi. The selected players are now taking part in a fortnight-long preparatory camp, also at Nongkhrah. The squad will then depart for Odisha on November 18.
Meghalaya U-15 girls squad: Jennifer Fancon (C), Deijiana M Sangma (V-C), Rafinia Ryntathiang (WK), Leeny Rai, Namesha A Marak, Sweetcymary Khongthang, Banchilla R Marak, Sharaisuk Marpna, Adalyn Fedelia Lyngkhoi, Joanna Pyngrope, Diya Biswa, Anniba Aiyosha D Sangma, Priya, Isha Ray, Bijime Ch Momin.
Standbys: Rijanailang Peinlang, Eliza Lyngdoh, Beneros D Shira, Evanrihun Sohshang, Reavydaysha Lyngkhoi.
Support staff: Rupashree Sharma (Head Coach), Bhakupar Mylliemngap (Assistant Coach), Sweety Marboh (Trainer), Jakrimbal D Arengh (Physio), Phibakordor Diengdoh (Manager).
