Shillong, Dec 11: In a momentous event, Meghalaya witnessed the flag-off ceremony for the export of 20 metric tons of Khasi Mandarin to Dubai at a programme held at IATC, Upper Shillong.

The ceremony saw the presence of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Minister, Dr M Ampareen Lyngdoh, MLA of Mylliem, Ronnie V Lyngdoh, representatives from Apeda and the LuLu group, among other officials.

In her address, Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting farmers. Her words reflected a dedication to fostering agricultural prosperity and strengthening international trade ties.

The successful flag off ceremony marks a significant milestone in promoting the agricultural products of the region on a global stage.
