Describing the hostel as a modern-day ‘Nokpante’ —the traditional Garo bachelor’s dormitory—Sangma likened it to a place where young men can learn life skills, exchange ideas, and form lasting friendships before stepping into adulthood.

He expressed hope that the hostel would serve as a vibrant space for intellectual and personal growth among students.

The Speaker also assured that the demands for infrastructure upgrades, including funding for a library and auditorium, would be taken up for consideration.
