Shillong, March 10: The Meghalaya Sports and Youth Affairs Department organized a roadshow on Friday to celebrate the Meghalaya Football Team’s recent achievement of securing the Second Place in the 76th Santosh Trophy held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The roadshow was attended by a huge number of fans and supporters, starting from Mawlai Madan Heh and ending at Madan Iewrynghep, Laitumkhrah.

The players and staff were felicitated by the department in the presence of Sports Minister Shakliar Warjri and members of the Meghalaya Football Association at Madan Ïewryngep, Laitumkhrah.

It should be noted that the Meghalaya football team made history by qualifying for the final round of the prestigious Santosh Trophy for the first time since attaining statehood. However, Meghalaya lost 2-3 to Karnataka in a thrilling match in Saudi Arabia.
