The District Football Association supported by the Meghalaya Football Association had organised a four day AIFF (Cat-5) Referee Training programme here in Tura which concluded today with a fitness test and a theory exam. This four day programme ran from the 1st of May till the 4th of May, today, in which 23 participants comprising of 18 male and 5 female hailing from various parts of the Garo Hills region joined in to elevate their skills and get a chance to be licensed in officiating state-level competitions. The course was led by resource person Joy Chandra Singh, All India Football Federation Referee Instructor, where he imparted valuable practical and theoretical knowledge about the game to the candidates.
