Nongpoh, Sept 23: The journey of the U-17 Girls team of Saiden Secondary School, representing Meghalaya at the National Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup 2023 in New Delhi, kicked off with a great start and now they have made it to the quarter finals of the cup after defeating their opponent Uttarakhand by massive 11-0.
The Saiden SS U-17 girls’ journey through their first National Level tourney has been the best possible start as they defeated Goa by 2-0, then KVS by 4-0, and Uttarakhand by 11-0 goal to book their seat at the quarter finals.

Meghalaya will lock horns with NCC Mizoram at the quarter final on October 24 at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi.
Till the filing of this report, the top goal scorers for the Meghalaya at the ongoing national level tourney include: Eiladki Ksoo – 6 goals, Imaïa Shylla – 5 goals, Daïamon Makhroh – 3 goals, and one each for Danishisha Lyngdoh, Barikor Kurbah and Daphishisha Syngkli.
