Tura, March 26: The two minor boys who went missing from their homes in Williamnagar on March 25 were rescued from a labour camp in Byrnihat Industrial Area, Ri-Bhoi district, police said on Wednesday.
The two boys, identified as 15-year-old Jeremiah N. Marak from Khera Village and 14-year-old Wedora N. Marak from Rongreng Baiija, were reported missing by their families.
Acting on telephonic information from Williamnagar police, Ri Bhoi police tracked one of the boys’ mobile phones and then a search operation was launched.
Hours later, the two were eventually found inside the labour camp of Marda Industries Pvt Ltd in Norbong, Byrnihat, Ri Bhoi district. Upon rescuing, the two were later brought to the police outpost.
Family members and the concerned authorities have been informed, and further necessary actions are being taken, police added.
