Shillong, July 25: A petrol bomb was thrown at the roof of a residence at Them Mawbah (Barapathar) early on Thursday morning. No injuries reported.

According to East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Sylvester Nongtnger, the incident occurred around 07:30 AM. He also informed that the residence belongs to one Julie Lyngdoh, who has rented th le house to non-tribals.

The SP said the miscreants entered the premises from the nearby forest, first pelting stones and then throwing a petrol bomb at the residence.

The motive behind the attack is still unknown, and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators.
