Guwahati, July 6: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) from 12 eastern states including Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal is set to hold a meeting in Guwahati on Thursday. The main motive of this meeting is to discuss the preparations and strategies for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
In the ‘Mission 2024’ meeting, BJP presidents, general secretaries, and other leaders from the respective states will be present.
This will be BJP’s first brain storming session for entire eastern India region to chalk out party strategy for the 2024 lok sabha polls.
BJP general secretary (organization) B L Santosh will preside over the meeting.
Meanwhile, party sources said that party president JP Nadda is also expected to join the meeting.
The Mission 2024 meeting comes at a time after opposition unity meet in June this year.
Several opposition leaders from 17 parties presented a unified front assuring that they would fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections together.
