Shillong, Jan 23: A Myanmar military aircraft experienced an incident at Mizoram’s Lengpui Airport on Tuesday, deviating from the runway and resulting in eight injuries.
The aircraft, reportedly transporting Myanmar army personnel returning home after seeking refuge in Mizoram, carried a total of 14 individuals, including the pilot.

The Myanmar Air Force’s transport aircraft had arrived at Lengpui Airport to repatriate the remaining 92 soldiers to Myanmar.
Officials said that out of 14 people who were on board medium size aircraft along with pilot, eight were injured and six were safe. The injured were immediately rushed to Lengpui hospital, according to Mizoram’s Director General of Police (DGP).
