Guwahati, April 01: The Home Minister of India, Amit Shah inaugurated several development projects worth Rs 2,414 crore at Aizawl on Saturday.
These projects includes the inauguration of construction of Assam Rifles Battallion Headquarters Complex Zokhawsang worth Rs 163 crore, construction of ‘Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) under Smart City Ltd (ASCL) worth Rs 119.2 crore and also laid the foundation stone for construction of Zorinpui-Longmasu section of the National Highway 502A.
Speaking at the programme, Amit Shah said, “Our government is committed to work for the development of Mizoram. Now, Mizoram will see development in coming years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is serious for the development of Northeast. PM Modi visited the northeast 53 times after he become the Prime minister,”.
“Our government has been working for the connectivity of the northeast region. The eight capitals of northeast will be connected through air and railways,” further mentioned Shah.
