This year’s tournament has attracted a whopping 30 teams from across the South West Garo Hills District.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Mahendraganj MLA, Sanjay A. Sangma, who attended as the chief guest and commended the organisers for promoting sportsmanship and community engagement.

The first round of matches will run until January 30, while the dates for the grand finale are tentatively set for late February.

In the second season of this tournament, the stakes are high, with the winning team set to take home a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. The runners-up will be awarded Rs. 50,000, and the Man of the Series will pedal away with a bicycle.

To encourage local participation and fair play, the organisers have limited each team to hiring a maximum of three players from outside the district or state.
