Tura, Mar 5: Table Top Exercise (TTE) on Incident Response System (IRS) along with Mock Drill on Earthquake was conducted by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), West Garo Hills with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Rongram C&RD Block today.
TTE on IRS was conducted with officials and staff of various departments under Rongram Block, and included departments such as Medical, Police, Fire & Service, along with Gram Sevaks and other Technical staff.
This was followed by a Mock Drill on Earthquake where NDRF along with State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), demonstrated many search and rescue operations. Many students and community members participated in the activities.
It can be noted, that actual tremors were felt during the exercise due to the earthquake that had occurred today.
