Guwahati: The Indian government and UK are discussing the possibility of an agreement to develop an electric propulsion system in India to power domestic warship. Indian warships are currently powered by diesel engines, gas turbines or steam turbines.

Road mishap

Guwahati: Eight people, including five women and three children, were killed and 23 people were injured after a goods vehicle collided with a truck in Chhattisgarh’s Bemetara district.

Narcotics seized

Guwahati: A Pakistani boat with 86 kg narcotics worth Rs 600 crore and 14 crew members, all nationals of the country was seized at sea west of Porbandar, Gujarat. All cre members were arrested.

SC to hear Kejriwal’s petition

Guwahati: The Supreme Court will on Monday hear Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s petition challenging the Delhi High Court’s verdict upholding his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy scam.
