Shillong, Jan 19: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong today said that Mukul Sangma was the most ‘irresponsible’ Chief Minister of the State.

Addressing media in his chamber, Prestone said, “My experience from 2003 till the time I was in MUA Government… I should call him the most irresponsible Chief Minister ever we had in Meghalaya, right from Statehood.”

Tynsong, who was a Minister in Mukul Sangma led MUA Government in the state alleged that the former Chief Minister was irregular and irresponsible towards his duty.

Tynsong had left Congress in 2017 after he was dropped from the cabinet.

“Let me remind…everybody knows Mukul Sangma especially during his tenure from 2013-2017, he hardly attended office. He (Mukul) used to come to office hardly 15 days in a month,” the Deputy Chief Minister alleged.

“If the head of the State attended office only 15 days in a month, I think, that is not fair, so where he went nobody knows. He never even prepared the tour diary,” Tynsong reiterated.

Giving the reason for leaving Congress, Prestone said, “He knew that I was not happy with him and I am blunt to tell you that I was not happy. Ultimately I decided to distance myself from him (Mukul) and the Congress party”.
