Guwahati, March 30: The N.F. Railway will launch its inaugural Bharat Gaurav tourist train from Dibrugarh in Assam on May 27. This train will take passengers to popular religious sites such as Shree Mata Vaishnodevi, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.
Passengers can board and de-board at various stations along the way, including Dibrugarh, Simaluguri, Mariani, Dimapur, Lumding, Guwahati, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Barauni Jn, Hajipur, and Sonpur.
The train consists of eight LHB Sleeper Coaches and three AC 3-Tier coaches with a pantry car. The journey will last for 10 nights and 11 days, with the first stop being Katra to visit the Mata Vaishnodevi Temple.
This train will further depart for Ayodhya where tourists will visit Ram Janma Bhoomi, Hanumangarhi followed by Aarati at Sarayu River.
The next destination will be Prayagraj, where visitors will see the sacred Triveni Sangam and Alopi Devi Temple. Finally, the train will stop in Varanasi, where tourists will visit the Ganga Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Temple, among other pilgrimage sites.

Meals and packaged drinking water will be provided on board, and the cleanliness of the coaches and hygiene in the toilets will be taken care of by dedicated on-board housekeeping staff. All necessary health precautionary measures will be taken care of and IRCTC will make efforts to provide a safe and memorable experience to the guests.
Unarmed security guards will also be deployed in every coach to ensure passenger safety and prevent unauthorized boarding. Every coach will also have dedicated escorts to cater to every need of the passengers.
Dedicated coaches/buses will be provided for off-board transfers and sightseeing, and passengers will be escorted by dedicated tour escorts throughout the trip. Non-AC family hotel rooms will be provided for Sleeper Class passengers at night, while AC accommodation will be arranged in standard category hotels for AC passengers.
The cost per person for the entire trip will be approximately Rs. 20,850 for Sleeper Class and Rs. 31,135 for AC 3-Tier, inclusive of GST. Indian Railways is providing approximately 33% concession for the promotion of rail tourism under the Bharat Gaurav Train scheme.
Bookings made directly through the IRCTC website can avail EMI facility through Paytm, Razor Pay, and Bajaj Finance to make the package more attractive and affordable.
This launch is in line with the Government of India’s initiatives to promote domestic tourism, including “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” and “Dekho Apna Desh.”
