Dimapur, Feb 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the poll-bound Nagaland on February 24 to attend a public rally.
The 60-members Nagaland Assembly will go for polls on February 27 along with Meghalaya.
PM Modi is visiting Nagaland to boost the confidence of the party workers and BJP candidates who are contesting the upcoming elections.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Nagaland on February 24 for an election rally. The rally will boost the confidence of the BJP candidates. We are eagerly waiting for his rally,” said a BJP worker.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Nagaland on February 20 to participate in a mega road show in Dimapur.
BJP is contesting 20 seats in Nagaland while their alliance partner NDPP will fielded 40 candidates.
On Wednesday (Feb 15), Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, John Barla, claimed that the people of Nagaland have accepted the BJP in the State.
