Shillong, Oct 16: MasterChef India 2023 Season 8 is back for food enthusiasts and reality show aficionados alike. This season is extremely special for the people of NorthEast India, especially for the Meghalayan as a daughter from the hills off Shillong has made her way to the MasterChef India 2023.
Nambie Jessica Marak from Shillong who runs ‘Eat Your Kappa’, a YouTube channel documenting the various food and culture of northeast India will bring the hidden flavours of Meghalaya on this show.
In the latest trailer released by Sony Entertainment, not only reveals the contestants name but also their objective behind being a part of this show.
It must be noted that in this season a new co-host is joining the dynamic chef-duo Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar. The last season saw Nayanjyoti Saikia from Assam as the winner of the show, while season 8 is back for a thrilling championship in the culinary world.
MasterChef India season 8 will also be streamed online only on SonyLIV from 16th October at 8 p.m.
Who is Nambie Jessica Marak?
She runs a Toutube channel with an effort towards highlighting the diverse and unique foods from across the north-east and also breaking the stereotypes surrounding the food.
Since she is a food enthusiast, Marak travels across north-east India and documents different recipes and ingredients from the area like Garo style pork curry, Baring Na’kam, Awushi Kulho and several others.
Marak launched her Youtube channel in January 2016, and currently has around 40.4K subscribers.
Khappa is a Garo way or style of cooking, where meat and vegetables are cooked with the extractions from bamboo or barks of banana trees.
