Guwahati, May 9: Narayan Seva Sansthan, an Udaipur based NGO based renowned for its humanitarian efforts, is set to organize the ‘Free Artificial Limb Camp for the Welfare of Differently Abled’ at Aashi Apsara Hall in Guwahati on May 12 from 8 am to 6 pm.
Devendra Chaubisa, the Director Trustee of Narayan Seva Sansthan, stated that the organization is committed to empower individuals with disabilities, inspired by the vision of Padma Shri awardee and founder, Kailash Manav.
Chaubisa in a press conference said that a team of specialized prosthetic and orthotic doctors from Narayan Seva Sansthan would evaluate differently abled patients during the camp. They will conduct precise measurements and organize casting for lightweight and durable artificial limbs. Approximately two months later, the organization will host a modular artificial limb distribution camp to provide free fittings for the patients. He mentioned that registrations for more than 625 individuals have been completed so far.
Various organizations including the camp coordinators, authorities, and community leaders such as Marwari Achal Sammelan’s Singh Bhati, have extended their support. Complimentary meals, tea, and snacks will be provided to the patients attending the camp.
The event has garnered support from numerous organizations, including Guwahati Goushala, Agrawal Sabha, Maheshwari Sabha, Shwetambar Jain Terapanth Sabha, Brahmin Sabha, Shri Guru Singh Sabha, and others, who are voluntary partners of Narayan Seva Sansthan.
Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, the Media, and Public Relations Officer of Narayan Seva Sansthan, encouraged differently abled individuals to avail themselves of the maximum benefits provided by participating in the camp.
