Narendra Modi takes oath as PM for third term with 72 ministers, 3 from NE

New Delhi, June 9: Narendra Modi sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term. Led by the prime minister, the new team includes 30 Cabinet ministers, 5 MoS with Independent Charge and 36 MoS.

President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Narendra Modi and his Council of Ministers at a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday.

NorthEast faces includes, Sarbananda Sonowal, Kiren Rijiju, and Pabitra Margherita.

Members of Parliament (MPs) who took oath as members of the Council of Ministers include BJP leaders like JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Piyush Goyal, and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Additionally, HD Kumaraswamy JD(S) other appointees include Chirag Paswan (LJP), Ram Nath Thakur JD(U), and Jitan Ram Manji (HAM). Furthermore, Jayant Chaudhary (RLD), Anupriya Patel (Apna Dal (Soneylal)), Rammohan Naidu (TDP), and Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani (TDP) are also a part of the council.

The foreign heads present for the occasion were Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay, President of Maldives Mohamed Muizzu, Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth amongst others.
