Tura, Dec 12: The Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth (JENESYS) 2023 is an exchange program organised by the Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE), which is scheduled from December 12th to December 19th.
“JENESYS” is a people-to-people exchange programme launched in 2015 between Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. The youth representatives from six different nations, i.e., India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, take part in this exchange programme. This year, the exchange programme will be hosted in Tokyo and other local areas of Japan.
It is a matter of pride that the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India, has recommended the name of a research scholar from the Department of Management, NEHU,Tura Campus, Darilin Tang, an inhabitant of Iooksi Village of Jaintia Hills from Meghalaya, as one of the delegates in the exchange programme representing India out of a total of eight delegates from India. It is to be noted that Darilin Tang is the lone delegate from the North East.
The main objective of this exchange programme is:
To promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation.
To encourage an understanding of Japan’s economy, society, history, diverse culture, politics, and diplomatic relations, and to build networks in these fields.
To convey information on the learnings of the program and the charms of Japan to the general public in the region through social networking services and others, participants.
