NEIGRIHMS celebrated World Environment Day

SHILLONG, JUNE 6: North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) commemorated World Environment Day 2024 with a massive plantation drive and day-long program with activities designed to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.

Staff, students, and faculty members came together for the plantation drive, contributing to a greener and healthier environment. A poster and slogan making competition was also organized, to encourage participants to express their ideas and concerns about environmental protection through creative impactful visuals.

NEIGRIHMS also hosted a unique ‘Best Out of Waste’ competition. This platform allowed participants to showcase their ingenuity by crafting useful or artistic objects from discarded materials, promoting the concept of waste reduction.

This initiative by NEIGRIHMS aimed to foster a sense of environmental responsibility.
