Tura, Dec 3: Meghalaya Health minister James Sangma on Friday inaugurated the new school building of Karukol Higher Secondary School at Karukol village in South Garo Hills District.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded the newly inaugurated School building under the project Supporting Human Capital Development.
Today, I attended the inauguration of the new building at the Karukol Higher Secondary School, which is being supported by ADB under the ‘Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya’ Project to improve Secondary Education and Skill Development in the State.

During the function, the Minister highlighted the importance of education and the various opportunities education can bring to the people of the area and its surroundings and the great role it plays in career growth as well as in personal growth.
The function was also attended by Rongara Siju legislature Rakkam A Sangma, Director Higher & Technical Education, Ambrose Ch. Marak, Deputy Commissioner, South Garo Hills District, F. M. Dopth, Superintendent of Police SGHD, Rituraj Ravi and officers from South Garo hills among others.
