“We allowed the them to perform the delivery and they said that my wife has given birth to a stillborn child. On Wednesday morning we received the dead body of the baby,” he said.
Das said, “We have received the dead baby in a packet. After reaching the Silchar crematorium and when we opened the packet before the last rites, the child cried. We rushed back to the hospital with him and now he is under treatment,”.
Meanwhile, the family members have lodged a FIR against the hospital and a doctor.
Local resident said that the doctors should examine the baby properly before declaring him deed.
“They kept the newborn inside a packet like a garbage for hours without even properly examining if he was alive,” he said.
