Shillong, Mar 3: Legislators of Meghalaya are looking forward to having the next assembly session in the new assembly building at Mawdiangdiang.

Speaker Thomas A. Sangma said the construction is in advance stage. “Preparations are underway to begin work on the interiors of the main hall,” he said.

He assured that despite the challenges, the next assembly session will be held in the new building.

He attributed minor delays to the dome installation. “The dome covering took some time. While the topmost spire is being installed, it temporarily restricted space for interior work, but that issue is almost resolved,” he explained.
