Jowai, Dec 5: The open-to-all 18 Above Football League Tournament organised by the West Jaiñtia District Sports Association (WJDSA) concluded on Saturday with the final match between Niaw Wasa SC versus Luti Tuber Ialong FC at Kiang Nangbah Stadium, Ladthadlaboh, Dongmihsngi, Jowai.
The match was convincingly won by Niaw Wasa SC, who hammered Luti Tuber Ialong FC 6-0.
These goals were scored by Baiahunlang Tariang (12 & 28 min), Dashngain Sukhlain (20 min), George F Ryngkhlem 935 min), Sanjini Dkhar (38 min) and by Weibha Nongtdu (80 min).
The match was witnessed by SK Lato, the founding member of WJDSA, as the Chief Guest, the office bearers of the association and other invitees.
Altogether there were 12 teams which participated in the League.
During the prize distribution, the award for Top Scorer was given to Midaia Dhar from Luti Tuber Ialong FC, while Nikhil Dkhar from Niaw Wasa SC was named Man of The Match.
