SHILLONG, FEB 19: Minister in-charge Sports and Youth Affairs Shakliar Warjri on Monday said no junk foods were supplied to the athletes during the Meghalaya Games, 2024 held in Tura.
Replying in the Assembly, Warjri said light snacks were served during the opening ceremony celebration of the games which also include the visit of the President of India as the chief guest.
The minister also informed that no action was taken against spreading news related to junk foods being served to athletes while replying to a supplementary question raised by opposition Voice of the People Party legislator from Nongkrem Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit.
