Tura, Aug 9: Tura-based Nokrek Heights School held its annual Student-Led Conference (SLC) on Friday, showcasing the knowledge and skills of its students. The event also featured a science exhibition and an arts and crafts showcase.
The Student-Led Conference, initiated in 2021, provides a platform for students from Class 1 to Class 8 to demonstrate their knowledge and skills independently. Each class selects a topic related to their subjects and presents it with guidance from their teachers. The conference aims to boost student confidence, offer a platform for showcasing their learning, and engage parents in understanding their children’s educational progress.
The event also had an inter-house science exhibition, where the four houses of the school competed in various scientific displays. The SLC is organized twice a year, with the first event inviting only parents, while the second includes friends, cousins, and neighbours.
