Haflong, Mar 30: The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa visited the storm-affected villages in Dima Hasao to evaluate damages caused by recent storms.
Accompanied by his council of members and local representatives, they surveyed the affected areas, noting damages to houses, infrastructure, and agriculture.
The Relief efforts by NCHAC included distribution of essential items like roof sheets and rice, funded by the CEM relief fund, to residents of Khepre village.
It needs to be mentioned that financial assistance was also provided through cheques for immediate relief. CEM Garlosa reported approximately 350 houses damaged in six villages and assured swift relief efforts from the Council.
