Bihar, Oct 12: The East Central Railway on Thursday issued a list of the deceased who lost their lives after the North East Express derailed in Bihar’s Buxar on Wednesday night.
According to the list, two are from New Jalpaiguri and one each from Barauni and Kishanganj.
The Indian Railways also announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to the next of the kin of the deceased. A help of Rs 50 thousand each for injured people.
The North East Express trail had derailed at around 9:50 pm last night.
According to reports, out of total 21 coaches, four coaches were affected.
CPRO, NF Railway has announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 10 lakhs for death, for seriously injured is are giving 2.5 lakh and for normal injuries Rs 50 thousand.
CPRO said, “We are taking preparation to send the passengers onwards with connecting buses after reaching Kamakhya railway station.”
According to the CPRO, most northeast trains were not affected, only the timings were altered and many trains were diverted.
Meanwhile, the helpline numbers are open and every station has spot enquiry help-desk for families to respond to their queries.
